Reflections

We walk from the house down the road to the pier and walk to the end. We sit on the barrier and I know that if I just leaned back I'd fall into the ocean. So I sit still and forward.
The night is clear and I have never seen the harbour so still.

KAT
Wow, it's so still.

HIM
Yeah.

KAT
Huh.

HIM
What?

KAT
We sat here at the beginning.

HIM
The beginning. Long time ago.

KAT
Yeah.

HIM
And you asked me to promise I'd never hurt you.

KAT
